I enjoyed a great working relationship with Sylvia Watson as Councillor in neighbouring Ward 14. Her commitment to consulting with a wide range of people, then making the best decision in the circumstances, helped in overlapping areas like High Park, the Junction and Western Waterfront Planning. Sylvia Watson always acted with integrity as a City Councillor. For example, she stepped down from office to run in the provincial by-election in 2006, and, although her chances of re-election were great, she carried through on her promise to not re-enter the contest for Ward 14, regardless of the outcome.
Bill Saundercook, Toronto City Councilor, Ward 13
